Life after Cancer
“In 2007, 5 years ago, I started my breast cancer treatment, however before that I suffered of joint pain, especially on my back. This pain used to limit my activities of daily living. I saw a spinal specialist who recommended having spinal surgery, but friends and doctors in my family told me that the surgery will not guarantee a cure. So I did not sign up for surgery and suddenly I found myself being diagnosed with cancer. Cancer diagnoses always change your priorities in life, but I was lucky when my daughter, who is a doctor, specialized on Wellness. I started listening to her and follow her preventive nutritional and lifestyle plan that include meditation and exercise.
Today I have accomplished finishing my cancer treatment that lasted 5 years. I have recovered my bone density that was low for 10 years, worsening progressively every year despite taking my calcium supplement and medications. I feel more vital and young than 15 years ago. I am able to carry and hold my two years old grandson. I play and run with my 4 grandsons and see life with a positive outlook. I thank God for giving me a daughter who is a doctor, that dedicate to her patient care with passion and love aiming to improve their quality of life, health and vitality.”
